The flavors worked so well together, and with so many greens, cabbages, hearty vegetables, vibrant herby flavors and a hint of lemon, it quickly became the perfect detoxing soup! I am currently on the Arbonne 30 Days to Healthy Living Detox, which eliminates inflammatory foods like dairy, gluten, soy, corn, sugar and caffeine.

Throughout the day you can drink a couple energy fizz sticks, detox tea, & a few other supplements. I was mostly excited about only having to plan out one meal a day instead of three. Of course Thomas can loose weight fairly easily, so we made sure he was eating a full meal with his shakes. The first 3 days were great.

Cook until onions are translucent and garlic is fragrant. Add the 8 cups of water. Crumble the chicken cubes by hand and add to the pot. Bring to a boil. Add in the chopped cabbage, parsley, salt, and pepper to taste. Stir soup to mix well. Simmer on low for 30-40 minutes. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired, and serve!

Cut jalapeno in half. Remove the seeds. Place under your broiler until browned in places. Quickly remove and place in a Ziploc baggie for about 10 minutes. This roasts the jalapeno, making it's flavor much more yummy, and it's flesh more soft. You can choose to use the whole jalapeno, or just 1/2 of it. I used 1/2 because I'm cautious of spicy stuff.
